Compose Your Frame

© Copyright 2014 Brooke McArthur

This photo shows the subject centered in the photo not really following the rule of thirds, but that is thrown off by the movement of the light through out the photograph, putting the focus back on the bottom left. This gives more of a motion vector. Giving the sense of the sparks moving and allowing the eye to follow that away from the middle to the outer portions of the frame. The Diagonal lines of the figure and more of the straight lines of the sparks bring you back into the frame. It gives you the sense of wanting to be pulled away but can't, if that makes sense.

  1. This is a really cool picture! I think the motion in it is very interesting. It almost takes the eye back and forth from the frame and the center of light in the sparks.
