After we had the lecture on web design, I didn't realize how bad the designs were on some of the websites I look at. It took me a while to find one that wasn't confusing and just seemed mashed all together with no rhyme or reason. I was shopping online and remember viewing the Trek website for road bikes. As you can see in the pictures above, the website is more of a simply layout. The header is very clean and only has what is related to the website, making it easy to search for what you want. Right below that is a image of what Trek is all about...the bike...and that takes up the rest of the page. For the rest of the website it follows how the header is and stays consistent with that. Even when you click on the different tabs on the header it still keeps with the website design. For example in the picture below I clicked on Bikes in the header and the flow of the design continues. You focus right away on the colored pictures. Those images show immediately what you might be looking for and make it simple. The eye is then drawn down because of the triangle effect and the black and white contrasting with the color. Overall it's very easy to navigate through out the website, finding the bike you want and even viewing stories you hadn't been looking for.
